Why we designed and developed ieum
The repeated security breaches of major platforms and the reality that giant capital controls our data sovereignty without us knowing was a huge shock to us.
Seeing terms of service change unilaterally—where our private lives and intimate conversations are forcibly used as data fuel for massive corporate AI models just because the service is 'free'—we decided we could no longer entrust our assets and privacy to giant central servers.
Thus, we created ieum: a messenger where users have absolute control over their data by fusing communication technology that leaves zero message content on servers with independent On-Device AI technology that runs offline, fundamentally blocking data leaks.

Perfect E2EE & Direct Connection
Your messages and calls are wrapped in top-tier X25519-based E2EE and transmitted directly between devices. The central server only relays the connection status, and data is deleted from the queue immediately upon receipt confirmation. (Even cloud backups are encrypted and can only be decrypted on your phone.)
On-Device Tiny Local AI
Runs the latest Small Language Models (Gemma-4-E2B, etc.) using your phone's own processing power without an internet connection. Translation, summarization, and sentence correction all happen locally—not a single letter escapes to external cloud servers like Google.
E2EE Multiplayer Group Chat
Supports secure group chats via a symmetric key exchange system. Rigorous encryption is guaranteed even in group rooms, and real-time announcements keep everyone updated on important messages.
High-Quality Voice & AR Video Calls
Enjoy crystal-clear P2P voice and video calls based on WebRTC. During video calls, apply facial recognition 'Cosplay Stickers' and real-time filters (Warm, Cool, Mono, etc.) for more vibrant communication.
Special Signal, 'CallingTalk'
Need to signal an urgent matter or the purpose of a call? Use 'CallingTalk' to send a message that acts like a phone call; the recipient sees the message on their incoming call screen and can reply immediately.

Integrated 'Knowledge Graph (GraphRAG)' technology goes beyond simple keyword searches. Upload work PDFs or massive documents, and the AI will autonomously infer multi-dimensional relationships to provide deep, contextual Q&A offline on your phone.
