Why is the 12-word master key so important?
Ieum stores no passwords or personal info on servers. Your 12-word mnemonic is the only key that can restore your account and cryptographic keys. Never share it with anyone.
Is a phone number really not required?
Yes! You get an anonymous account the instant you launch the app, completely preventing phone number leaks.
Can server seizures expose my chat history?
No. All messages are encrypted with X25519 and wiped from server memory immediately upon delivery. There are no stored logs to seize.

Does deleting a message leave a trace on the recipient's phone?
No. Ieum completely erases the message on both devices with zero 'deleted' watermarks at any time.
What are Whisper rooms?
Whisper rooms are 100% anonymous E2EE group chats where you use temporary pseudonyms. The room self-destructs after the timer expires.
